    Parent Training

    ATHLETE PROTECTION

WHALe requires all volunteers to undergo Athlete Protection Training. This applies to anyone who will be acting in the capacity of a volunteer or coach for a WHALe team at practice or at meets that will be directly interacting with athletes. Examples of such volunteer roles include but are not limited to: timers, ready bench leaders, meet officials, concession stand workers, practice attendance takers, etc. We ask that all parents take this training. It only takes a few minutes and has some good information.

    CONCUSSION

Coaches are required to take concussion training and parents are allowed to take the same training if interested.

    JUDGE/STARTER/REFEREE TRAINING

Stroke/Turn judges and officials will train to identify stroke, touch, and turn infractions. This requires an annual certification.

Starter and Referees will train to effectively run and officiate the meet. This requires an annual certification.

    CONSOLE OPERATOR TRAINING

Console Operators will train to setup and operate the Meet Maestro and Time Drops Systems. This requires an annual certification.
